Abstract
Watershed Citarum has water catchment area : 6,614 Km2 and length : 269 Km. On the upstream side, Citarum has 13 part of the watershed’s namely Citarum Hulu, Citarik, Cikeruh, Cipamokolan, Cidurian, Cicadas, Cikapundung, Cisangkuy, Citepus, Cibolerang, Ciwidey, Cibereum and Cimahi. On the upstream side, Citarum has water catchment area : 1762.55 km2 and Length : 191.04 Km. Watershed Citarum upstream side factors that the management did not consider the environmental aspects and supportability. It can cause a variety of problems, one of which is flood. Flooding problems has become a matter of routine every year, especially that passed by Citarum upstream as a part of the city of Bandung. In this study conducted a review of the three part of the watershed’s with the largest catchment area and the length of the longest river that is on Citarik, Cikapundung and Ciwidey. Flood control analysis performed in this study is through the river channel normalization method. With the goal to be achieved is with the normalization of the river flow, capacity to hold water in the river will be returned to the proper conditions, based discharge planning
